Somerset Stores has partnered with Cogmotion to bring their Young Consumers Program to our communities.  The mission of The Young Consumer Program is to transform local communities into powerful learning centers that focus on advancing literacy outside the classroom walls. Literacy includes the language of mathematics, science, the arts, social sciences, health, and exercise.

We currently offer this program to fourth-grade students at three local schools.  Each school receives two separate visits as part of the program.  Our ZFK Dietitians go to the school to provide a nutrition lesson and staff from Cogmotion provide a STEM lesson on real world planning and budgeting.  The students then visit our store for an opportunity to put those lessons into action with a mock shopping trip for a family of four.!
